# Primary Purpose
Develops and implements programming for N/C Turret Punch.
#
Responsibilities Include
Analyzes blueprints and engineering drawings to determine dimension of parts and convert to CNC code.
Establishes location of tool set points, starting point and cutter change points by three dimensional coordinates, according to reference point and location of stock on fixture, and plots cutter paths on graph paper.
Calculates radii of simple and complex irregular curves, using computer assist.
Prepares program sheet direction of operators, including step-by-step directions for movement of machine cutter and change-point in three dimensional coordinates and data, such as feet rate, cutter speed and direction in symbolic language.
Retains machine cutting parameters for materials to be processed.
Specifies laser power, cutting gas types and pressure settings.
Back up operator to burn tables and laser table.

Qualifications
College or Vo-Tech training in higher math including geometry and trigonometry.
Numeric Control Operations and Programming Training or equivalent on the job experience.
Experience in machine operations preferable, but not required.
