Position located in Brookings, South Dakota. Candidates must be enrolled and registered as a fulltime student. Ideal candidate should be available to work approximately 15-20 hours per week during the academic year, and at least 20 hours per week during the summer.
Daktronics is recognized worldwide as a leader in the large electronic display industry. The company designs, manufactures, sells, and services a variety of display products in sports, live events, commercial and transportation. Our products include complete line of large display products, from small indoor and outdoor scoreboards and displays to large, multi-million dollar video display systems.
Student chosen for this position will provide support to sales personnel and customers in the High School Parks and Rec business unit through the creation of sales renditions, filling display content orders and the production of other graphic material needed for sales and marketing presentations. Primary software used will be Adobe Creative Suites (Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, and In-Design).
1. Create illustrative sales renditions, and other graphic needs for sales presentations.
2. Learn document management filing systems for archiving sales renditions, display content, and other presentation material correctly and in a timely manner.
3. Work directly with sales, marketing, and project management to meet deadlines.
4. Support the High School Parks and Rec business unit.
5. Show continuous learning and improvement of skills and contributions.
6. Show initiative and responsibility to complete projects and duties as needed or assigned.
7. Regularly and reliably report to work as scheduled.
Requirements
1. Educational requirements: Enrolled as full-time student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related major. Only strong performers in undergraduate coursework will be considered. Must maintain an acceptable GPA.
2. Computer skills: Adobe Creative Suites including Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects and In-Design.
3. Excellent graphic design, creativity, and conceptual skills. Design samples a plus, to share at time of interview.
4. Communicates and works well with others.
5. Ability to work, sometimes under pressure, to meet deadlines.
6. Well organized, detail oriented and self-motivated.
7. Requires minimum one year commitment.
8. Must be able to read and speak English.
9. Background check may be conducted.
