Daktronics, Inc designs, manufactures and sells a wide range of display systems to customers in a variety of markets throughout the world. We focus our sales and marketing efforts on geographical regions, markets and products. The primary categories of markets include Live Events, Commercial, Transportation, Schools and Theatres and International. Daktronics manufacturing follows a focus factory concept paralleling these five markets.
This position is located in our Commercial Business Unit. Commercial customers include financial institutions, hotels and motels, gaming, auto dealers, convenience stores, shopping centers and other retail establishments.
Experience in this position prepares you for other opportunities within the company such as Inside Sales, Regional Sales or Project Management.
The Commercial Reseller Sales Coordinator group works as part of the sales team and is involved in promoting Daktronics products throughout the United States and Canada.
Primary responsibilities are to take inbound customer calls, promote and present Daktronics product options, provide timely and accurate responses to quote requests and follow up with customers and field staff on status of quote. Coordinators also assist with the order fulfilment process including final acceptance of quotes and collecting payments.
1. You will be assigned to support a specific sales region, where you are a member of a team of 3-5 salespeople. Daktronics salespeople are based remotely and work with customers in their region's geography.
2. With this group, Daktronics' products are sold primarily through sign companies to commercial businesses. Building and maintaining solid relationships with these companies is important. The atmosphere is very team oriented and friendly, and you will also build relationships with the different groups that you interact with inside Daktronics.
3. The information you need to complete a quote or order will be provided to you, but sometimes you may need to ask follow up questions to clarify information before you can proceed. There are procedures established for the tasks, which are important to follow in order to complete accurate work.
4. Much of the work is sales focused and is done through email and phone communication. You must be courteous and professional in these interactions.
5. There will be some administrative tasks related to entry into our various systems and databases. The overall processes for these tasks may be repetitive, but since each task is different, accuracy and attention to detail is very important.
6. The majority of the coordinator group is based out of the corporate office in Brookings and works together as a team to complete the day's priorities and deadlines. As a coordinator you need to work effectively as a team member, work with little supervision, and communicate effectively with team members including sales, support, applications engineering, project managers, and manufacturing.
7. Most of your day will be spent working on your computer at your desk with the rest of your team.
8. The hours of the position are regular full time day time hours, with some flexibility for when you would like to begin and end your work day. Hours vary based on the location of the region you are working with.
Skills Needed:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Consumer Affairs, or other related degree.
2. General computer skills including accurate keyboarding skills and ability to learn and navigate new software and tools.
3. Organizational and time management skills to complete assigned tasks and determine priorities.
4. Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed. Be at work on time and maintain good attendance.
5. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Fluent in English, both written and verbal.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
