Position located in Brookings, South Dakota. Candidates must be enrolled and registered as a fulltime student. Ideal candidate should be available to work approximately 15-20 hrs/week during the academic year and at least 20hrs/week during the summer.
Daktronics, Inc designs, manufactures and sells a wide range of display systems to customers in a variety of markets throughout the world. We focus our sales and marketing efforts on geographical regions, markets and products. The primary categories of markets include Live Events, Commercial, Transportation, Schools and Theatres and International. Daktronics manufacturing follows a focus factory concept paralleling these five markets.
The Project Management student is involved in projects during the selling, approval, manufacturing, installation and final payment processes. Students assist with project paperwork such as close outs, project pricing estimates, scopes of work, pulling and shipping project parts, coordinating RMA parts. After demonstrated performance student may manage some projects on own. Students may also travel to provide event support, installation, supervision, and support trips.
1. Project Management assistance for projects in the International regions.
2. Assist with project close-out paperwork, writing scopes of work, project pricing estimates, sending project correspondence and other project paperwork as needed.
3. Assistance with initiation and organization of contract documents, subcontract documents, and general project correspondence.
4. Coordination of in-house project tasks including: sales to design representations, systems design, project accounting, material requisition, manufacturing/product throughput, pulling and shipping project parts, coordinating RMA parts and management feedback.
5. Assistance with generating and monitoring project budgets and schedules.
6. Sales support and project estimating for International projects-proposal generations, quoting, and technical presentation.
7. Work effectively as a team member, work with little supervision, help when and where needed, make and implement suggestions for product and process improvement, communicate effectively with sales, customers and project team members.
8. Provide technical support for sporting, commercial or demo events if opportunities arise.
9. Perform other duties as assigned and needed to meet customer expectations.
10. Possible on-site project installation supervision or supervision assistance for International projects.
11. Regular and reliable attendance.
Requirements
1. Educational Requirements: The ideal candidate must be a fulltime student pursuing an Electronic Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Construction Management or related field and in their sophomore, junior or senior year of school. Only strong performers in undergraduate coursework will be considered.
2. Maintain Acceptable GPA.
3. Prefer sophomore or junior class status.
4. Fluent in English, both written and verbal. Additional languages skills are beneficial but not required.
5. Available to travel by both land and air. Must be able to meet and maintain qualified driver status. Motor vehicle records will be checked.
6. Daktronics experience/knowledge preferred.
7. Background check may be conducted.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
