#### Primary Responsibilities
An Agricultural Research Associate will conduct jobs for which the Field Research Scientist deem him/her qualified and adequately trained to complete. Adequate training will be provided on a task-by-task basis.
This is a full time position located at our company in Brookings, SD with the SGS Agricultural Division.
#### Reporting to
SGS Agricultural Field Research Scientist

#### Specific responsibilities
At all times, comply with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct
Maintain equipment and facilities in accordance with applicable SOP's and in a clean, neat and organized manner.
Complete assigned duties according to applicable SOP's.
Specific duties associated with the conduct of trials are detailed in SGS SOP 16.3 and 18.3. These duties are briefly summarized below:
Assist Field Scientist in maintaining an up-to-date flow of paperwork.
Monitor thermographs and weather data collection
Assist Field Scientist in establishing and maintain plots
Plot maintenance and plant protection
Pollinations, Sampling and Field Data collection
If the candidate holds a pesticide application license; under the direction of a Field Scientist, they may apply maintenance and test chemicals.
Assist in execution of critical phases and preparation of the FTN
#### Profile
Bachelors Degree in Biology or two (2) years relevant experience preferred
Current Pesticide Applicator License preferred
Agricultural background preferred
Maintain thorough knowledge of GLP requirements and regulatory guidelines
#### Skills
Must be detail-oriented, well organized and able to work independently.
Excellent communications skills required.
Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
Ability to handle a variety of projects effectively, efficiently and with confidentiality.
