# Primary Purpose
Complete set up and operation of the CNC Machine Center and/or CNC Lathe.

Responsibilities Include
Operate the CNC Machine Center or the CNC Lathe which has XY&Z; coordinates. This includes visual inspection of oil levels, maintaining slide lube levels as well as coolant levels which may require the ability to transport 5 gallon buckets from containment room to machines.
Read and analyze drawings and engineering specifications to determine dimensions of parts and configuration of cuts.
Set up each assigned product which includes: dialing, mounting, machining fixtures or jaws, choose tools per job, interpreting read outs, setting tool and wear offsets, editing programs, adjusting tools and programs to machine part per specifications and the loading and unloading of parts in chuck.
Duplicate programs and edits them at the machine as needed. May also generate machining programs. Conform work to current programming and operating procedures. Seek prior approval for major changes to programming and operating procedures.
Make and de burr parts while machine is running, keeping time and material records on parts.
Perform and document all inspections with the required equipment to maintain constant conformance to print specifications.
Maintain good housekeeping in work area. Dump chip dumpster and plastic 55 gallon chip barrels with forklift.
Pull parts for weekly schedules.
Operate bridge crane or fork lift as needed.
Additional duties may be assigned, dependent upon location and product line.

Qualifications
2 years college or Vo-tech training to include higher math (geometry and trigonometry).
1
year experience operating a CNC Machine or CNC Lathe or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2
years lathe and/or milling machine operation experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals written in English. This includes shop orders, blue prints and/or job specification sheets.
Programming experience is preferred.
Ability to communicate verbally with co-workers in a productive manner.
Basic math skills to include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in all units of measure including whole numbers, fractions and decimals; Ability to read a tape measure.
Ability to use tools in a safe and proper manner.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND REQUIRED TRAINING
The following certifications and training, if required, will be provided by the company:
Forklift Certificate
Bridge Crane Training
Fall Protection Training
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
To successfully perform the essential function of this position, employees must have the ability to:
Continuously lift/move 25 pounds; occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds; occasionally pull up to 100 pounds with wheels (pallet jack). (not sure lifting requirements for Brookings)
Continuously stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms above shoulder height; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear.
Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, reach with hands and arms at waist level and below the waist; and work in limited space.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
