The primary categories of markets include Live Events, Commercial, Transportation, Schools and Theatres and International. Daktronics manufacturing follows a focus factory concept paralleling these five markets.
Position located in Brookings, South Dakota. Candidates must be enrolled and registered as a fulltime student. Ideal candidate should be available to work approximately 15-20 hours per week during the academic year and at least 20 hours per week during the summer.
1. Assist with general clerical duties including: computer work, copying, and scanning.
2. Scheduling trainings with customers and completing related data entry.
3. Email management of the and accounts. Includes creating service case and assigning to the appropriate trainer. Skillset needed for professional correspondence, spelling, grammar, and writing detailed messages. Attention to detail is very important. Proofread email correspondence for format, content and use of Daktronics authorized abbreviations. Understanding of email best practices and response optimization techniques.
4. Set-up and maintain WebEx training sessions, customer rosters, and approve registrations.
5. Update software training table as trainings are scheduled and closed.
6. Update SharePoint spreadsheet as contacts are attempted or made with customer.
7. Update SharePoint spreadsheet as trainings are completed and recordings sent.
8. Expected to act independently, with strong self-organization and workload planning skills, and must be able to receive direction and instruction from the Software Services Supervisor and Team Leaders, as well as other members of the software team.
9. Assist in preparing training materials.
10. Business writing ability in English required.
11. Word Processing or database experience; knowledge of computers, databases and being able to access specific information.
12. Work effectively as a team member and help when and where needed in order to meet specific deadlines. Make suggestions for process improvement.
13. Follow company guidelines and policies.
14. Regular and reliatble attendance.
15. Assist software staff in documenting customer interaction and feedback in appropriate systems.
16. Be actively involved in lean efforts including 5S (Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize and Sustain) implementation, ensuring adherence to lean process standards.
17. Work effectively as a team member; helping when and where needed and communicating effectively with customers and team members.
18. Work on special projects and perform other duties as assigned and needed to meet customer and/or business unit expectations.
Requirements
1. Enrolled as a fulltime student. Prefer students pursuing Education, Economics, Marketing or business related majors.
2. Computer skills including Windows2000/98/NT/XP/Vista/7, Internet navigation, word processing and spreadsheets. Effective keyboard skills. SharePoint experience a plus but will train.
3. Must be able to accurately and consistently complete repetitive tasks.
4. Ability to work independently with little supervision and inspect own work. Self starter can quickly learn new tasks.
5. Demonstrated experience interacting with a variety of individuals in a positive, professional manner.
6. Fluent in English, both written and verbal. Communicate effectively in a team environment yet work independently, being a self-starter.
7. Good organizational skills.
8. Background check may be conducted.
9. Must maintain an acceptable GPA.
