#### Primary Responsibilities
THIS POSITION CAN BE LOCATED ANYWHERE WITHIN THE UNITED STATES
Responsible for conducting second- and third-party audits of agriculture-based clients located around the United States, Canada & Mexico. The auditor is responsible to collect and analyze sufficient information to provide a recommendation for certification. Audits are performed per SGS procedures, including exceeding customer expectations in our auditing and assessment functions, while providing continual follow-up and support to our clients.

#### Specific responsibilities
Perform on-site audits of a variety of clients, including feed manufacturers and traders, ethanol producers, and farmers (including produce, dairy, poultry and meat).
Assess clients' quality managements systems, safety practices, execution of regulatory requirements, and social responsibility practices.
Qualify as approved auditor for the following systems:
GMP
Feed Safety Assurance, with scopes of B2 (2010) Production of Feed Ingredients and B3 (2007) Trade, Collection and Storage & Transshipment.
Second-party audits of feed safety and quality management system audits of feed manufacturers.
Second-party social sustainability and animal welfare audits of farmers.
GlobalGAP Integrated Farm Assurance audits of fruit & vegetable producers.
Interview client employees, review records and make observations of each client facility to determine compliance to the applicable standard / certification scheme.
Use discretion and knowledge of current industry standards and best practices to document non-conformances.
Follow-up with clients as required to review corrective actions, using independent judgment to evaluate corrective actions and determine whether those actions satisfy the requirements of the standards / certification scheme.
Complete audit documentation in a timely manner, including checklists, reports and executive summaries as required by the project.
Assist in the development and/or creation of standards to use throughout SGS.
Work with the Audit Manager to arrange audit dates and manage audit records.
Keep abreast of external market developments, relevant legislation, and competitor activity to ensure SGS remains the service provider of choice.
Maintain knowledge of the SGS Group network and services.
Actively promote the image, capability and integrity of SGS to all clients.
This position requires at least 80% travel.
#### Profile
Bachelor degree required; degree in Agriculture preferred.
Active participation in an agricultural club (like FFA or 4-H) and/or on-farm experience preferred.
At least 4 years working experience in feed or food industry required.
Knowledge of, and training in, HACCP and ISO required.
#### Skills
Ability to travel, including a valid passport and driver's license is required.
Auditing experience preferred.
Must be quality focused with excellent verbal and written skills; capable of expressing findings (both positive and negative) to client staff.
Must have extensive industry knowledge and an ability to apply that knowledge when making judgments regarding findings.
Must be able to work with people of all backgrounds in a professional manner.
Must have excellent organizational and time management skills, as well as an ability to work independently.
Must have leadership capabilities and an open mind towards continuous improvement.
Must be able to maintain confidential information.
Must be a team player, willing to contribute with ideas and recommendations.
Must be proficient in MS Office software.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
